I\u2019m Daena Gibbons, a proud mom of 4, a devoted wife, and a true crime enthusiast. When I\u2019m not shuttling my kids to their activities or diving into a good thriller, I\u2019m usually reflecting on my wellness journey. But one of my greatest passions is teaching\u2014and I\u2019ve been doing it for 17 years now, in roles ranging from K-6 to Reading Recovery, Resource support, and even Virtual Teaching.<\/p>

This past year, I embarked on an exciting new chapter: teaching Kindergarten French Immersion. Having spent my entire career teaching in English, it was a big shift\u2014but one I completely embraced. As *Mme Gibbons*, I found joy in reconnecting with the French language and bringing authentic, meaningful learning to my students.<\/p>

And here\u2019s where the adventure really took off. Not only was I teaching in French, but I was also balancing two classes\u2014alternating between my French Maternelle group and an English Kindergarten class, all in the same room! As you can imagine, it was a lot to juggle, so I began creating resources that could seamlessly be used in both languages. That\u2019s when I realized these materials could benefit more than just my classroom\u2014they could help other teachers facing the same challenges.<\/p>

That\u2019s why I\u2019m here today: to share my journey and the resources I\u2019ve developed along the way. These aren\u2019t just any resources\u2014they\u2019re ones that I\u2019ve tested in my own classroom, designed to engage students while aligning with curricular goals. From literacy to math, these activities also help build fine motor skills, offering purposeful, hands-on learning experiences that can be used whether you teach in French or English.<\/p>
