Spring can feel like a weird mix of excitement and exhaustion in the classroom. Students are growing, routines are settling, and yet we’re all pushing through toward the end of the year. This season is a good reminder to pause and notice the small wins — the moments that show growth in students and in ourselves. Trust and Relationships Matter One of the biggest wins I’m noticing in my Student Services role is how much the relationships I’ve built with students make a difference. Students trust me. They wave and say hi in the hallway. When a student is struggling — socially, emotionally, or with regulation — that trust makes it possible for them to leave the classroom for a quick movement break without stress.
